The club runs a junior angling programme in conjunction with Lancashire police. The aim of the programme is to provide free angling session to local children aged between 10 & 16 years old. The session are held usually on a Sunday at Ball Grove lake, however we are looking to expand this to other venues and days in the future. All tackle and bait is provided free of charge, and our volunteers are on hand to teach the children how to get started fishing. All the tackle was purchased through the club and from money awarded to us by the police fund.

All tackle and bait is provided and our volunteers are on hand to teach the kids how to fish. For ages 10 to 16. Sessions start at 10am and run until around 1pm.
We hope to potentially add some extra sessions during school holidays if enough interest

🎣 Huge Turnout & Happy Faces at May’s Youth Coaching Session! 🎣

Wow, what an incredible day! The lake was packed for today’s youth coaching session. We had so many eager young anglers turn up that we almost ran out of gear and bait, but thanks to some quick thinking, we managed to make sure everyone was covered.

Every single person had fun, and fish were caught! It was especially rewarding to see the recently stocked tench making an appearance and they are doing brilliantly, putting on weight, and proving to be a fantastic addition to the lake.
