Foulridge Reservoir
Brief description of fishery:
Foulridge reservoir or lake burwain as it is also know, is a 90 acre reservoir on the outskirts of Colne, Lancashire. The club have run the water for around 8 years now and over that time we have worked hard to improve the water for our members. this has included stocking of various species of fish, major improvements to the footpaths, building pegs and much more.
Foulridge can be a tricky water with changing water levels during the summer months, but has some big rewards for those putting in the effort. the stock consists of over 2000 carp with the lake record standing at 36lb 4oz, and we are sure there are more surprises waiting to be caught. there is a large stock of specemin bream to 11lb with the everage sise being around 5 to 6lb. our pike stock is going from strength to strength, with a new lake record caught earlier in 2025 at 28lb 15oz along with 2 other known 20’s and plenty of doubles to back them up. there are also tench to 8lb 12oz, good size roach, perch, afew rudd and some hybrids too. this creates a fantastic mixed fishery.
