Walverden Reservoir
Brief description of fishery:
Walverden Reservoir was built in 1869, to provide water for the expanding town of Nelson. Within 10 years it proved insufficient for the towns needs and a new reservoir was built at Coldwell. it has varying depths especially in summer when the water levels drop. it is stocked with carp to mid 20’s, bream, tench, roach and perch. there are a few pike still in the lake.

Access & Parking
There are 2 car parks, one at the bottom of the overflow and a smaller one at the top of the track.
